Here are links to video footage of our set (also taken by Nate Ling):
I (Bucky) have known Sean Youngblood since the late 90s or early 00s. I honestly can't remember when we first became acquainted...but I do remember going to Double Decker Records and purchasing the first release on Youngblood. The record in question is, of course, Rancor's classic Flip the Switch ep. Not long after that came the second press of Flip the Switch and the Bladecrasher ep. It was clear to me that Youngblood was becoming a label to watch out for. This intuition was cemented with the release of the seminal Memories of Tomorrow compilation.
Suffice it to say, I was very excited when Sean invited us play this year's Youngblood showcase. I was right to be excited. Noose played one of our best sets ever; there was an infectious energy in the room and we soaked it up. This was largely due to the presence of fifteen members of the Midwest Wolfpack, all of whom drove thirteen hours over night to mosh, dive, and sing along for Noose.
Noose covered two Confront songs (Our Fight and One Life Drug Free), the second of which was sung by Carlos of RazorXFade. Check them out here: http://www.last.fm/music/razorxfade
The rest of the showcase is a blur. All the bands were solid, but I was most impressed by Bad American, Stick Together, Police & Thieves, and No Tolerance. No Tolerance got the best reaction of the afternoon. They also covered "Our Fight" by Confront. Good taste.
After the showcase ended we drove through the night to Wheeling, WV. The next day we woke up bright and early to hit the Wheeling skatepark.
